Q. What does ‘Jyotirmay’ mean?
A. Jyotirmay means illuminated and ‘reflecting light’. Our logo therefore suggests children who are like tender flowers maturing into bright stars by the warmth and support of the nurturing hands of the School Staff.
Q. How is Jyotirmay International School different from other schools?
A. Designed to give the fresh air to children to breath with secured indoor open
court yards, right from the building everything is different at Jyotirmay International School. Children here are not taught but are encouraged to learn through activities and play. Foreign languages are introduced as early as in
the Grade I through small conversations and rhymes and poems. We treat our children as independent and thinking individuals and as such they have a say in every activity that we conduct at Jyotirmay International School.

A. Jyotirmay International School is located at Wagholi on Nagar Road, Pune and is close to the Kharadi Pune’s fast developing IT hub.

A. The admission to new academic year start in the month of December.

A. We believe all the children are gifted children and as such the admission happens on first come first served basis till the seats are available.

A. Yes, being an International school we encourage students from abroad which give true International experience to our children.
Q. does Jyotirmay provide accommodation for students from outside Pune / international students?
A. As of now Jyotirmay International School is a day boarding school and does not provide the accommodation facility.
Q. Is the curriculum at Jyotirmay international school affiliated to any international educational institute?
A. Jyotirmay International School has adopted IGCSE curriculum from the Cambridge University. This curriculum is widely accepted by the Universities world over.

Q. What are the facilities available for the students at your school?
A. The State of art building of the school provides excellent learning environment to the children. Nutritious and sumptuous breakfast and lunch
prepared under the supervision of the school teachers in the school kitchen nourishes their body and mind. School has safe and efficient transport facility.
Language, Science, Maths and Computers labs are being set up. The school
will soon have a full fledged Sports academy with half Olympic size swimming pool.
Q. How do you monitor the progress of my child?
A. The monitoring progress is an on going process and is done on day to day basis. Though we do have tests we do not wait for the tests to give feedback to the children. Twice a year the evaluation of the child is discussed in person
with the parents instead of just handing over the progress card to them. The parents observations and inputs are also taken into consideration while evaluating overall development of the child.
Q. Does the school have any dress code?
A. The School Uniform is T-shirt and Track bottom which is comfortable play wear and suits boys and girls of all ages equally.
Q. Can we contact the teachers / faculty?
A. Yes you can get in touch with the faculty during the days and hours specially allotted for the parents’ interaction and if you wish to contact them any other day or time you can do so by prior appointment. |
